ON KHWAJA AHRAR VALI IN BABUR’S “BABURNAMA”

Abstract

The article summarizes the thoughts of Babur Mirza about the great saint of
the Naqshbandi order and his consistent follower Khoja Ahror Vali (Khoja Ahror Ubaidullah) in
his work “Baburnoma”, and also presents the author’s point of view on this issue. In the work of
Khoja Akhror Vali Babur was the elder of his paternal grandfather, Sultan Abusaid Mirza, Khoja
accepted his father Umarsheikh Mirza as his son, Babur himself was brought up on the basis of
this teaching from his youth, the work describes in detail Khoja’s merits in strengthening the
Timurid kingdom and preventing inter-crown-throne struggle.
The work argues that Khoja Akhror Vali had a great positive influence on the life and work
of Abdurrahman Jami, Alisher Navoi and Babur Mirza as a great elder and teacher.
