IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF TEACHING PEDAGOGICAL DISCIPLINES IN HIGHER EDUCATION BASED ON INTERNATIONAL ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

Abstract

This article examines the theoretical and practical foundations for improving the
quality of teaching pedagogical disciplines in higher education based on international assessment
criteria. The study highlights the role of international educational assessment programs such as PISA, TIMSS, PIRLS, TALIS, as well as international ranking and monitoring systems in
enhancing the quality of pedagogical education. The effectiveness of competency-based
approaches, student-centered education, innovative pedagogical technologies, and digital
educational tools in improving the teaching of pedagogical disciplines is scientifically
substantiated. The article analyzes the advantages of using interactive methods, blended learning,
flipped classroom, project-based learning, case-study, and problem-based learning technologies
in the teaching process and their impact on the development of students’ professional
competencies.
