THE HISTORY OF AGRICULTURE IN THE TASHKENT AND SYRDARYA REGIONS

Abstract

The article analyzes the formation, stages of development, and historical significance of agriculture in the Tashkent and Syrdarya regions. It highlights ancient irrigation systems, land and water relations, the composition of agricultural crops, and the processes of their transformation. In particular, it scientifically examines the land reclamation policy implemented during the Soviet era, the expansion of cotton and grain cultivation, as well as the modernization of the agricultural system during the years of independence
