QUASI-SOCIAL RELATIONSHIPS FORMED THROUGH ONLINE GAMES AND THE DECLINE OF REAL EMPATHY LEVELS

Abstract

This article analyzes the phenomenon of quasi-social relationships emerging in

the context of online games and their impact on the empathetic abilities of adolescents and young

people. The study examines the psychological characteristics of virtual communication, the factor

of anonymity, the process of identification through avatars, as well as the emotional components

of digital interaction. Furthermore, based on scientific literature, it analyzes how quasi-social

relationships formed through online games influence real social interactions and the development

of empathy
