THE ROLE OF THE KURULTAI IN THE STRUGGLE OF NATIONAL FORCES FOR POWER IN TURKESTAN IN 1917 (on the example OF the First Turkestan Muslim Kurultai)

Abstract

This article examines the social, economic and political situation in Turkestan

after the February Revolution of 1917, especially the organization and rise of national forces in

an uncertain political situation, attempts to fill the political vacuum in the country, as well as the

importance of congresses convened by national forces. At the same time, in this study, from the

point of view of historicity, the disputes adopted in 1917 by congresses convened by national forces

in Turkestan on ideological, political, national and religious goals in relation to the Muslim

population of the region are analyzed.
