. Awareness of national identity is a complex, multifaceted spiritual and mental

state of consciousness and beliefs of people, which influences all phenomena of social

development. The article provides a socio-philosophical analysis of the essence of the phenomenon

of national identity, its role in strengthening the existence of the nation and its status as an

independent subject, as well as the role of the state factor in the system of national identity
