HISTORY OF MASS PROTESTS AGAINST COLLECTIVIZATION IN CENTRAL ASIA. (BASED ON SOURCES FROM THE 1930S)

The article is devoted to the analysis of mass protests against the policy of
collectivization that took place in Uzbekistan and throughout Central Asia in the 1930s, based on
archival sources and scientific literature. The agrarian policy of the Soviet government, in
particular, the forced unification of peasant farms into collective farms, the liquidation of
traditional forms of management, the confiscation of private property, the increase in taxes and
other mandatory payments, as well as the strengthening of Bolshevik administrative pressure,
caused mass protests among the local population
