INDIVIDUAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE STUDENT PERSONALITY AND THEIR IMPACT ON EMPATHIC ABILITIES

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the relationship between the individual
characteristics of the student's personality and their empathic abilities. The study analyzed the
influence of individual characteristics (acceptance, openness, neuroticism) on the components of
cognitive and affective empathy based on a five-factor personality model. Through the analysis of
Russian and foreign literature, the results of empirical research on the psychological mechanisms
of empathy and the level of empathy of students are highlighted. The goal is to create the
theoretical foundations for developing methods for improving students' communicative and social
skills, taking into account their individual characteristics
