Abstract

This article is devoted to the actual pedagogical problem of using educational
dictionaries in primary grade mother tongue and reading lessons, its importance and effective
application. The author analyzes the role of using educational dictionaries in increasing students’
vocabulary and developing reading and writing skills. The article examines the methodology of
effective use of educational dictionaries, the specific features of working with dictionaries for
students of different ages, as well as the possibilities of using modern pedagogical technologies.
The results of the research include practical recommendations aimed at increasing the
effectiveness of the use of educational dictionaries in primary education.
