Developing Students’ Listening Comprehension and Reading Skills through Web-Based Materials

Abstract

This article examines the pedagogical potential of web-based materials in
developing learners’ listening and reading skills in foreign language education. The integration
of digital technologies into education has significantly expanded opportunities for using authentic
online resources in language teaching. Web materials expose learners to real-life language
through articles, podcasts, videos, and interactive platforms, thereby enhancing language
proficiency and communicative competence. The study discusses the theoretical foundations of
web-based learning, its impact on listening and reading comprehension, and its contribution to
learner motivation and independent learning
