This article discusses the scientific and methodological foundations for developing leadership competencies aimed at improving management effectiveness in preschool educational organizations. The importance of strengthening the professional competence of preschool leaders in the context of educational modernization is substantiated. The role of strategic, communicative, innovative, digital and reflective competencies in effective management is analyzed. The article also describes competency-based, systemic and activity-oriented methodological approaches and presents practical recommendations for improving management effectiveness.
