Abstract

Abstract: This article examines the similarities and differences between the jewelry worn
by the Turkmens who lived in the Bukhara oasis and the jewelry of the local population. Also, an
analysis of precious metals and stones used in making jewelry, the appreciation of jewelry as a
material item of the Turkmen population during historical periods and the high interest in it today,
and religious beliefs related to the fact that jewelry protects people from various disasters and
calamities is presented.
