CERTAIN ASPECTS OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF IRRIGATION FACILITIES IN THE SAMARKAND REGION IN THE 1970S

Abstract

The article analyzes certain aspects of the construction of irrigation facilities
in the Samarkand region during the 1970s. The study examines state policies aimed at the
development of irrigation systems, as well as the construction of canals, pumping stations, and
other hydraulic structures. Particular attention is paid to the impact of irrigation facilities on
agricultural production, land development, and the socio-economic growth of the region. The
research is based on archival materials and scholarly sources.
