HISTORICAL ANALYSIS OF THE POLICY OF ATMOSPHERIC AIR PROTECTION IN THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN AT THE TIME OF INDEPENDENCE

This article analyzes the historical stages of political, legal, technological and
institutional measures implemented in the Republic of Uzbekistan for the protection of atmospheric air
during Independence. In the period from 1991 to 2024, the sources of pollution of atmospheric air,
decisions made by the state, international cooperation, public participation and the process of formation
of monitoring systems were covered in stages. The article also reveals similar and different aspects of
Uzbekistan’s policy through a comparative analysis of the experience of such advanced countries as
Germany, South Korea and Japan. As a result of the analysis, strategic approaches, systemic problems and
promising directions necessary for improving the quality of atmospheric air are substantiated
