SOFTWARE TOOLS USED FOR DEVELOPING DIGITAL LITERACY IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

This study analyzes the types of software tools used to develop students’ digital
literacy in higher education institutions, their functional features, and their importance in the
educational process. Special attention is given to learning platforms, multimedia applications, AI-
based educational systems, and digital assessment tools. The paper highlights the role of these
software tools in fostering students’ information analysis, critical thinking, and practical skills
