Abstract

This article deeply analyzes the essence of the system of continuous
professional development (CPD), the role of the principle of “lifelong learning” in modern
education and professional activity. The author substantiates the need for continuous learning and
self-improvement in increasing the potential of pedagogical personnel, the relevance of
introducing innovative technologies into the educational process and creating an environment for
continuous professional development.
