FROM THE HISTORY OF ORGANIZATIONS PROTECTING CULTURAL HERITAGE SITES

Abstract

The protection and use of cultural heritage sites first appeared in Europe. It
entered Russia during the reign of Peter I. It began in the territory of Uzbekistan during the
Russian colonial period and developed systematically during the former Soviet Union. During the
period of independence, attention to cultural heritage increased. The article discusses the
development of attention to cultural heritage in historical periods
