Abstract

This article presents scientifically based ideas about a remarkable method of water
conservation invented by our ancestors in the second half of the 19th century in the Emirate of Bukhara,
during times of water shortage. The article also concludes that although the ancient method of water
conservation requires hard work from farmers, this method has its positive aspects and is especially
relevant in light of the growing demand for water and its shortage today, especially if we turn to the
experience of our ancestors in saving water
