TERMINATION OF THE MOBILIZATION OF THE “LABOR ARMY” SENT FROM UZBEKISTAN

During World War II, the country’s economy and industry were adapted to military
production. As a result, problems of labor shortages for industrial and construction work arose. In this
situation, based on the Supreme Command of Defense Resolution No. 2414 of October 14, 1942, about 155
thousand workers from Uzbekistan were mobilized to construction and industrial enterprises in various
regions of Russia. Including in the factories and enterprises of the Urals and the Southern Urals, thousands
of Uzbeks worked and made a worthy contribution to the victory over fascism. The article, based on archival
sources, analyzes the living conditions of the Uzbek “labor soldiers”, their life support, health and working
conditions, as well as the completion of labor mobilization
