Abstract

This article scientifically and methodologically analyzes the importance of innovative methods in the development of motivation and critical thinking of students in educational and cognitive activities. The objective necessity of consistent implementation of innovative methods in educational processes is substantiated. Innovative methods such as “T-table“, “SWOT analysis”, “Concept analysis”, “Guess who (what)”, “When numbers say” are scientifically and theoretically substantiated, as well as examples of their application in the educational process in several subjects related to the discipline “Theory and History pedagogy”. As a result, thepossibilities of these methods in increasing the motivation of students in the learning process, as well as in developing their critical thinking skills, are conceptually substantiated
