development of the modern education system. In particular, it highlights the potential of
photography not only as an aesthetic tool but also as an effective form of information transmission,
perception, and analysis. The article explores the theoretical foundations of photographic
knowledge, its application in the educational process, and its role in developing students’ visual
thinking, creative, and analytical skills. Furthermore, it examines the importance of photographic
knowledge in shaping media literacy, approaches based on international experience, as well as
existing challenges in this field and possible solutions
