AHMAD DONISH’S VIEWS ON THE EMIRATE’S POLITICAL ELITE IN HIS WORKS: AN IMPARTIAL AND BIASED APPROACH

Abstract

This article analyzes the political and economic views of 19th-century Bukharan
enlightener Ahmad Donish, his assessments of the emirate’s administration and elite
representatives. Along with the objective critical approaches of Ahmad Donish, some subjective,
emotional, or biased aspects are also highlighted. The research is aimed at revealing the
complexity of the Donish heritage.
