Abstract

This article provides an in-depth analysis of developing students’ academic
writing competence through the use of authentic materials in the process of teaching English. The
study examines the linguistic, psychological, and methodological foundations of writing skills and
reveals the didactic potential of authentic materials. It also analyzes their advantages and
disadvantages and proposes an effective methodological model. The results of the study
demonstrate that the systematic use of authentic materials significantly improves the quality of
written speech
