DEVELOPMENT OF PIANO PERFORMANCE COMPETENCES ON THE BASIS OF INTERPRETATIONAL APPROACH

Abstract

This article discusses the issues of developing piano performance competencies
on the basis of an interpretative approach. It analyzes the importance of interpretation in the
formation of artistic thinking, musical hearing, technical skills and individual performance style
in future music teachers. Also, based on the experience of European piano performance, the
methodology of working on a work, deep understanding of the musical text and creating an image
during the performance process is considered. As a result of the research, effective pedagogical
approaches and practical recommendations were developed to improve students’ performance
skills
