Abstract

The article examines the development of miniature art in the Timurid era

through the example of the work of Kamoliddin Behzad — the leading representative of the Herat

school of painting. The artistic and stylistic features of his works, their compositional solutions,

as well as the role and influence of the artist in the formation of Eastern book miniature are briefly

analyzed. Behzad’s contribution to the formation of a realistic trend and the enhancement of

artistic expressiveness of miniatures in the cultural space of the Timurid state is highlighted
