ROLE AND IMPORTANCE OF PIRLS ASSIGNMENTS IN READING LITERACY CLASSES

Abstract

The article examines the issues of assessing and developing the level of reading literacy of

primary school students based on international research PIRLS. The possibilities of improving reading

competence through the integration of international experience and the national education system are shown.

An innovative model aimed at developing reading skills appropriate for primary education is proposed
