THE ROLE OF FAIRY TALES IN THE CREATION OF COLLECTIVE MEMORY AND NATIONAL IDENTITY

Abstract

The article analyzes the role of fairy tales in the creation of national identity, their

role in the formation of collective memory, as well as archetypal images in fairy tales and their significance

in folk culture. Fairy tales not only preserve historical events, but also allow the moral, spiritual and social

values of the people to be conveyed to new generations. At the same time, fairy tales are a unifying force

among people, providing theoretical information about their sense of identity and strengthening national

unity
