PEDAGOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF APPLYING PROJECT-BASED LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES IN TEACHING ZOOLOGY

This article highlights the pedagogical, psychological, and methodological
foundations of applying project-based learning technologies in teaching zoology. Project-based
activities help students develop skills of independent thinking, analysis, scientific inquiry, and
teamwork. Furthermore, this technology enhances teachers’ professional competence, enables the
organization of the learning process on an innovative basis, and increases students’ interest in the
study of zoology.
