Abstract

In the modern information age, the need for a deep and systematic development of
human thinking is increasingly growing. In this regard, the concepts of critical and independent thinking
are gaining particular relevance today not only in pedagogy, but also in philosophy, psychology, and social
sciences. These types of thinking are considered an important tool not only for personal development, but
also for social activism, innovative thinking, and a comprehensive approach to global problems. This
article analyzes the relationship between critical and independent thinking based on a dialectical approach.
