ACTIVITIES OF MUSEUMS AND TOURISM IN THE YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE

Abstract

This article describes measures for the development of the tourist infrastructure of the
Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as problems and solutions to increase the tourism potential through the
activities of museums. At the same time, the role of ancient and historical cities of our country, such as
Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, in the implementation of reforms in the field of tourism of our state is
analyzed. In addition, the role of modern museums in the development of the tourism sector of our country
was emphasized.
