The article analyzes the process of learning foreign languages in connection with the social status of a language and its changes. Language learning methods, particularly the cognitive approach and cultural transmission, are explored in relation to language evolution. The exolingual method (developed by André Martinet) suggests studying a language not only from its internal structure but also by considering its social and cultural factors. This approach facilitates effective language acquisition through natural and didactic methods. The article also discusses language learning theories proposed by Krashen, Skinner, Gee, and other scholars, emphasizing the effectiveness of exolinguistic methods.
