Today in Uzbekistan special attention is paid to the study of foreign languages. The decrees issued
by our government and the conditions created create the task of shaping the German language of young
people, from preschools to universities. The development of students’ language skills in German has also
become a topical issue. Listening comprehension is one of the most important language skills in learning
a foreign language. This article contains information on various methods, techniques and exercises that
serve to develop listening comprehension and language skills, and analyzes their practical effectiveness.
The relevance of the topic is that the national methodology has not yet fully developed the methods that
serve to develop listening comprehension and their effectiveness, in this work, this method, technique and
exercise are analyzed.
