Abstract

Annotation. This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the professional competence of preschool educators, including its structure, stages of development, and assessment criteria. It examines various types of competencies such as special, social, personal, psychological, methodological, informational, creative, innovative, and communicative. The paper emphasizes that the development of professional competence is a continuous and systematic process, and that the educator’s personal qualities, self-reflection, and self-analysis skills have a direct impact on the effectiveness of the educational process. A high level of educator competence is identified as a key factor contributing to the holistic development of preschool children.
