STRUCTURAL AND FUNCTIONAL EQUIVALENCE OF HYPERBOLA: LEXICAL, SYNTACTIC, EMOTIVE AND COMIC ASPECTS

Abstract

This article analyzes the structural and functional equivalence of hyperbole
from a linguo-stylistic and translation studies perspective. In the course of the study, lexical,
syntactic, emotive and comic aspects of the Hyperbola are studied, highlighting their expressive
features in different languages. Also, in the translation process of the Hyperbola, issues of drawing
semantic and pragmatic compatibility are considered. As a result, the importance of hyperbole as
not only a stylistic device, but also as a communicative-expressive unit, is justified
