THE FORMATION OF THE POLICY OF RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE IN THE TEMURID EMPIRE AND ITS GEOPOLITICAL FACTORS

Abstract

This article provides a scientific analysis of the formation of the policy of
religious tolerance in the Timurid Empire, its historical and cultural foundations, and the
geopolitical factors that influenced its formation. The study highlights the use of an approach
based on religious compromise by Amir Temur and the Timurid rulers in governing a vast empire
that included many religious societies, based on sources. The strategic territorial location of the
country, the expansion of trade and diplomatic ties through the Great Silk Road, and the role of
the religious factor in foreign policy relations with Eastern and Western countries are analyzed in
a geopolitical context.
