RECOGNITION OF UZBEKISTAN’S INDEPENDENCE BY SAUDI ARABIA AND ESTABLISHMENT OF BILATERAL DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS

Abstract

This article examines the formation of diplomatic relations between the
Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as the official visit of the Saudi
delegation in 1992 and its historical and political significance. The visit of the delegation led by
Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Saud al-Faisal, contributed to strengthening
diplomatic, religious, and cultural cooperation between the two countries. The article analyzes
relations that developed on the basis of mutual trust, Islamic brotherhood, and strategic
partnership principles
