Abstract

This article comprehensively analyzes the importance and role of intercultural
competence in foreign language teaching. In the context of globalization, language learning
requires not only the acquisition of linguistic knowledge but also the development of the ability to
effectively communicate with representatives of different cultures and societies. The article
examines the theoretical foundations of the concept of intercultural competence, the main
pedagogical approaches used in its development, and modern educational strategies. It also
analyzes methods for integrating the cultural component into foreign language teaching practices
and demonstrates ways to develop multiculturalism, tolerance, and communicative activity in
students.
