CONSTRUCTION OF IRRIGATION FACILITIES IN SURKHANDARYA AND THEIR ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY

Abstract

This article examines the historical stages of irrigation infrastructure
construction in the Surkhandarya region and its impact on regional economic development based
on scholarly sources. The study highlights the relationship between irrigation systems,
agricultural productivity, rational water management, and land reclamation sustainability. By
assessing the economic efficiency of irrigation networks, the research substantiates the strategic
importance of water management infrastructure for long-term regional growth.
